Kick Baby Kick

5th Appointment: 23rd September 2006 @ 0930hrs
Weight check: 57.1kg
Belly circumference: 38inches
Baby's weight: 760grams
Me: Druming in my left ear continues but slightly reduced now so, I hardly hear it. Feet swell up at the end of the day esp. after a long day of shopping or walking or wandering.

Baby:

Baby is fasting too.

Moves very actively in the afternoon (in a protest for hunger) and especially at nite after dinner (hyped up after a feast).

His kicks are harder and obvious.

Can see bumps and lumps and waves on my 'balloon' stomach.

Feels great.

Ticklish still if he does it constantly.

'Balloon' expansion occurs at night and often feel very tight as if there's no more room anymore.

Lying down may not feel comfy and sitting up may not help either.

Enjoying every minute of it.

Wednesday's date with Eda:

Sinful date at Swensen that is. Mushrooms for starters, Fish and Chips as main course and a fling with Sir Nutcelot thereafter. 2hrs spent in Swensen.

Thursday's date with Azriena and Adelyn:

An outing with Azriena and Adelyn was as kecohrable as always! Met at Coffee Bean at Paragon before heading to Wisma's Food Republic for dinner. Someone had cravings for Nasi Beriyani and wanted to go there. (Nope not me though! :p) After dinner, went to Swensen (twice in a row for me! ~goodnees gracious) for desserts. No fling with Sir Nutcelot but climbed up Coit Tower instead. My lust for chocs is indeed increasing. Ohh what the heck, I am putting on weight anyway!

Friday's dinner date with Dearie:

Dearie will be working late and all weekend so we had together before I head home on Friday evening. That mutton chop I had was rather expensive - $6.00 ok! And I stained my top and jeans with it which means I cant 'merayap' in town after that. Cehh!

Saturday's day out with Mother:

Mother went to Orchard Road to meet Uncle Zain and family to give them kurma and I tagged along. Only after she promised me to go to Suntect to get my Yami Yogurt. This time, I got the JUMBO cup - peachie and sunflower seeds. Supposed to share it with her but I think she had less than 10 spoon and I gobbled up the rest. ~kwangg kwangg kwangggg.....

The one with the Crave for Yami Yogurt

The IMF meeting causes massive road blockage to Suntect City and we all know that. But I didn't think that the pedestrian route would be affected that much until I decided to make a visit to Suntect for a Yami Yogurt treat last Friday after work. The normal crossing the overhead bridge from City Link is only accessible to the delegates only. Other pedestrian had to walk on the outskirt of Marina Sq and use the link connecting Marina Sq and Millenia Walk and down into Conrad Hotel and continue walking along the outskirt of the hotel to get to the Fountain of Wealth and then into Suntect City. Police were station at every 100m surrounding Suntect. I have been craving for a Yami Yogurt since a week ago and the outlet kiosk at Caltex House closes early so Suntect is another option to go. Such a hassel to get there but what the heck!! Treat myself to a medium Peachie with nuts when I got there. Simply Yami-licious!

Ohhhh........

I have 7 days to payback my fasting for last year. 3 down and 4 more days to go. And with Ramadan catching up just around the corner, I better get acustom to not eating and train my lil hero to fast as well. I have make known to him that we are going to fast for the Ramadan so he better be good to me and not kick me so much in a protest for hunger. He seems fine so far. I keep telling him to be patient and will let known how many more hours before we could eat.
Colleagues of mine shows sign of concern for the baby if I were to fast and will the baby get enuf nutrients that he requires. An article in Berita Minggu (Sunday, 17.09.2006) confirms that it is safe for pregnant mothers to fast and won't have any effect on the development of the baby.

Fashion un-Passion

Fashion un-Passion?

One word: cleavage.

Pregnancy provides the best opportunity you'll ever have to flaunt your increased cleavage, so try wearing scoop-neck t-shirts or sweaters.

Try synthetic materials.

Wear pants made of synthetic materials that stretch to fit your new curves.Think a little tighter. Over-sized, baggy clothes create a bulky look. For a sexier style that slims your silhouette and emphasizes your features that aren't expanding, wear snug-sleeved tops, skinnier pants, and knits that stretch to fit your form. These are both sexy and feminine.

Dark Colors.

Dark colors are slimming, so choose pants, skirts, and dresses in classic hues such as black, brown, navy, wine, forest green, and dark gray.

Stripes.

Avoid horizontal stripes please!

With those, I shall keep in mind what to wear and what not to wear. I'm just ohhh sooooo lazy just to think of what to wear esp to work. Ever so often that I end up in teeshirt and jeans on a Monday morning to work and that's unlikely of me during my un-pregnant days. It's hard to be fashionable during the stage where it always feels like you've got a 'balloon' under your shirt all the time. If the top is too loose, people won't give their seat to you. If the top is too tight, it feels like the 'balloon' has got no space for expansion. I love to roll up my tee shirt midrift and expose my ballooning 'balloon'. This, I only could do when I'm at home lazing in front of the TV.
And of coz there are some resentment among others:

My mom says that the baby will be cold if I don't cover up.

Dearie doesn't like the exposed 'balloon' look.

But

My reason for doing so: Baby also wants to watch TV and the exposed 'balloon' look feels so much comfy in that state. (Seriously! I wish I go public with it)

Shoe un-fit:

My ballerina shoe which I normally wear to work feels a lil tight when I put it on this morning. Shhhheeesshhhh. Is my feet gonna swell up from now on? OOHhhhh Tidak! More sandals from now on and more slippers. Slippers are good. They make me feel like I'm on holiday every day. :p

un-Comfy Bras:

My normal bras leave a red mark after I took it out at the end of the day. They are not comfy anymore. Now, its GOODBYE to my funky bras and a BIG WELCOME to Granny's classic black bra.

On a lighter side of all pregnancy problems, the day you pop that balloon of yours will be such an enlightenment. Congratulations to Kak Long who gave birth to Audy Ryan Andika on 11 September 2006. A new addition to the family of coz. Nice name eh....! ('o')

The 4th one!

Weight check: 56.3 kg (1.9kg increase since 3 weeks ago)
Belly circumference: 37cm
Baby: Fine and growing well. Actively moves about, alive and kicking making me pee constantly.
Baby's weight: 570g
Me: Druming in my left ear continues. Dr Koh said it's prolly due to the rising blood vessels or another possibility...I could hear the baby's heartbeat!

Went to visit Lin & Rino & their newborn baby gal before heading to town. KFC dinner before catching The Devil wears Prada at Lido, 2145hr. Good chick flick I must say. Hilarious and one must appreciate fashion to see this one. Cant remember when was the last time we watched a movie at Lido. But that place sure brings back memories during poly times......
