The silence of LaTourette's spaces..the crude lighting in the corridors at night..refrain yourself from entering private spaces..the trasnslucent spaces that creates a transitional spaces..the Dominican friars of LaTourette are glad to welcome all visitors, architects, architecture lovers & students from all over the world. AAD students (Strathclyde Uni) made a field trip to the monastery on 25 - 29 November 2004. The architecture of La Tourette has to be experienced slowly. We stayed in a chateau, a 2mins walking distant to La Tourette for 4nights. A spooky experience indeed!
